i'm actually really ocd about bananas, which i think is weird, because i'm not ocd about pretty much anything else (right? maybe?), and i didn't even notice i do this until about two years ago. but i eat a banana like so:
i start at the stem and and peel one piece all they way down. then i flip the banana over and remove the other two thirds of the peel in one fell swoop, including the black poo seed. then i flip it over again and break off one little piece at a time, because i don't like actually biting the banana. i'll usually toss the final bite into my mouth, as well.
every time. and bananas are definitely my most frequently consumed fruit. cheap and yum. there you have it.
I used to peel them upside down, as I could never quite master that SNAP of the stem. It would always just squish it and I would be upset at the mushiness. So I got fed up with the top of the banananana and just flipped it over and dug my nail into the bottom and peeled it from there.
It took me several years and many many annoying comments from people sitting at my lunch table to realize that I could perform the nail dig at the top of the banana (nanana) just as easily.
Now I just go for whatever side is closest to me when I grab it.

I eat it monkey style. Bite in the middle with the peel on, and tear away the peel with my teeth as I eat the goodness that is the banana inside.
Well, okay, in all seriousness? I peel as I go, but I pretty much just have to do 2 peels--top half, bottom half.
Hey look, the Moffats are commenting first.
And I eat 'em the same as Parker...well, the 2nd, more serious, less monkey-like way.
B.
all the way down. almost. and sometimes I break a piece off and eat it. yep.
personally, I peel the entire banana and then peel off those strings and then take off the end with that brown stump. THEN i can eat it in peace.
Neither. In a smoothie.
i open it like a human not like a monkey, and i peel as i go.
my friend asked me if i wanted a frozen banana, i said "no, but i want a regular banana later, so, yeah."
peel as i go. i don't wanna get banana residue on my fingers..
haha, thank you adam
