I think there's only one place that I'd maaaybe maybe a tiny tiny bit rather be right now than in Sylmar, California on my mission. And that is Laie, Hawaii with my gorgeous fun loving creative talented and wonderful sisters. FREAK. I AM JEALOUS.

I'm feeling sorta homesick today. Familysick.. Cry me a river, I know. I'll get over it.

Had walking pneumonia last week. Yeah. Fun. But I got some antibiotics so I'm on the mend.. We moved. New apartment. Not living with members anymore. It's nice. My apartment feels like one of the belmont or arlington condos up in provo but as soon as you go out the door you feel like youre in mexico. I don't know that I prefer either one..

Best/worst discovery of the week is the grocery store Fresh & Easy. My funds are gonna ssttttruuugggleee this month.

Anyway. I'm just gonna have a pity party this week I think. Wishing I was in a bathingsuit 24/7. Cliff jumping and swimming and playing and hiking and basking and riding around in the back of trucks and living the dream.

On the positive: I still love being a missionary. We are teaching some coool people. Vladmir has read almost half of El Libro de Mormon. Sylvia said she wants to get baptized soon (but still won't commit to a date). Jessica and Mauricio are committed to finding out of the Book of Mormon is true so they will know if baptism is the right path for them (it is btw). And I have 2 baptisms in Palmdale next month! Yayyyyy. Alexis and Ricardo Cueva. Happy day.

This is Hermano Nunez. We live with him and his wife and their daughter and her husband and their kids and whoever else is sleeping over each night.. ha. He is the stake executive secretary and used to be a bishop. He walks around in his g top all the time and cleans his glock. The other day he was making targets. He said to me "Hermana, I'm gonna kill an alien." What a goon. I love them. We are moving into our own apartment this week so I am sure gonna miss this family.
Every night I come home to this. Melody. We live with members right. And I made the mistake of entertaining Melody a few times, you know - playing with playdough, painting, coloring, hangin out on the top bunk. So yeah, I have a new little sister on the mission. This kid is out of her mind. I have a great video I'm gonna try to post some time. I made that pillow p.s.
Hmm...
La famila Huerta. One of my favorites from my time in Palmdale.
Texts from Hno Gaytan:

"Please forgive me.
I am so sorry.
I don't know how I could forget.
I will make it up to you."

"I owe you."

"I will be at your beckon call for the rest of your mission."

Members can be so dramatic.

I made my companion laugh so hard that she got a bloody nose last night.

I can't remember anything else that happened this week. I'm sick :(
I bought this sweet thang at a yardsale for 50 cents. I have recently gained an appreciation for all things Catholica. I have a virgin mary fleece blanket, a couple rosaries, some saints bracelets... what else? Think that might be it. Ha.

This is Carmen Cueva. My mom in the mission. She and her daughter Amanda got baptized a few months ago. Her grandson Rivers, the boy on the right was able to get baptized a few weeks ago when he turned 8. Rick, Carmen's husband, has a baptismal date and and we have high hopes for Amanda's husband and sister soon!

I love this family with all my heart. I am only half way through my mission, but finding and teaching this family, and helping them come unto Christ has been SO INSANELY fulfilling. If these were the only people I was able to help join the church in my time as a missionary it would be enough to make me happy for the rest of my life. There is nothing that brings me greater joy than watching the conversion of people I have come to love so dearly.

Hey! Thats where I live. Picture thanks to my stalker, Master Paul M. Moyle :)
I thought it was illegal to pick wildflowers... but my Grandma Ann makes the rules at Alta so I will follow her lead. She emailed me this picture taken recently up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Miss yewww.

Greetings from the happiest little sister missionary that ever was. For realsies guys. I didn't expect to love my mission as much as I do or to be as happy as I am. How good is that?
Surprise birthday 2009. Holy Crap that was a long time ago. Emily just emailed me this picture. Ha.
